ISLAMABAD – PPP Secretary Information Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that a request has been made to the Supreme Court of Pakistan to allow entry of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilan’s vehicle to the porch, located in court’s premises.

Talking to PTV, he said that as the court would also take up other cases on Monday, it (court) had been requested to allow entry of PM’s vehicle to the porch as was done at the time of previous hearing.

According to our information, the Prime Minister was allowed this time also to take his vehicle to the court’s porch. But probably that permission has been withdrawn now, he said.

He was of the view that when PM’s counsel Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan was talking to media after the previous hearing, the situation arising at that time was not good from the security point of view.

He said as the court would also take up the case of missing persons on Monday and there are chances that relatives of those persons would also come to the court. Anyone can come there in the garb of a relative and thus the possibility of a security lapse cannot be ignored, he said.

The Prime Minister is head of the executive and if his vehicle is allowed to enter court’s porch, it will be better both for his designation and from the security point of view.

He expressed the hope that the court would allow Prime Minister’s vehicle’s entry to the porch.
