SIALKOT - Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa said on Sunday that the forthcoming Senate and general elections would be held as per schedule.

Addressing a public meeting at Koobay Chak, the governor said that the PPP government would complete its tenure and will hold general and Senate elections on time. He claimed that the PPP would become most powerful political party of the country in the coming polls of the senate.

He said that the PPP had strengthened the provinces by giving them autonomy. Earlier, talking to a delegation of the Sialkot business community led by Naeem Anwar Qureshi, the President of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and industry, the governor said that the PPP would prepare the coming federal budget by taking all the stakeholders into confidence and focusing on the uninterrupted provision of electricity and gas to the industries. He added that the government would help keep the industrial wheel moving in the light of the positive suggestions of the businessmen.
