Seven prisoners of the Adiyala Jail who went missing after the release on court orders have said that they have not seen the light of the day for the last 20 months and were kept in solitary confinement.

In a brief chat with media at the Supreme Court building Monday where they were produced before the three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, the prisoners said their tongues were dying to talk with some one but they could not.

They said food aside, keeping them in darkness and solitary confinement was an unforgettable time of their life.

Touching scenes were witnessed in the court when the prisoners were brought as their mothers hugged them while continuously weeping.

Later Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took the prisoners to the chamber of Attorney General for their meetings with their family members.
