ISLAMABAD - Federal Minister for State Inter Provincial Coordination Malik Azmat Khan visited the Malik Saad Shaheed Sports Trust (MSSST) head office on Tuesday and lauded the trusts role for the promotion of sports at the grassroots level across the country and especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “With reference of MSSST, we highly appreciate its grassroots level development of sports academies in less developed areas and attached great value for MSSST activities and achievements,” said the minister. He said: “After the 18th amendment, the sports ministry and its related organisations are now under provincial control, however, the Federal Government is very keen to promote the sports related activities throughout the country.”Syed Ali Nawaz Gilani, member board of trustees, Irshad Khan, administrative officer of the trust, received Malik Azmat Khan. Zahid Ali, Secretary Pakistan Wood Federation, was also present on the occasion. He also viewed the special documentary of the MSSST and mentioned that he was in touched with this presentation and paid rich tribute to Shaheed Malik M Saad and all shaheed police officers and jawans. He also added he would prepare special note for the national level appreciation of the MSSST as this initiatives would help the youth of the nation to spend their time in sports grounds. The minister also offered all assistance to the MSSST for its forthcoming sports academy establishment in District Dir., as this would give an excellent opportunity to the youths of Dir for their practical involvement in healthy sporting activities. He also wrote his impressions of the MSSST visitors’ book and filled up the membership and assured all-out support for it.
