LAHORE - National Institute of Design and Analysis, (NIDA LHR), a subsidiary of Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company (TUSDEC) has been nominated as Professional Engineering Body (PEB) by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) to carry out the CPD (Continuing Professional Development) activities.

NIDA Lahore has been authorised to conduct the short courses, workshops and seminars which would be organised for the Registered Engineers (RE) and Professional Engineers (PE).

The refresher courses for the engineers will upgrade their skills as well as will bestow them with points and counts to augment their career path. NIDA will arrange these courses through its CAD/ CAM training centre in Lahore, outfitted with high tech instruction facilities and computer labs.

According to TUSDEC spokesperson, courses of 5S Tools for Workplace Management, FEA using ANSYS, Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Process Piping Stress Analysis, Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM), Project Planning, Scheduling & Progress Monitoring, Total Productive Maintenance (TPMM) have been launched in line with the CPD (Continual Professional Development) activities for the engineers. Company spokesperson further stated that NIDA and PEC have affiliated on this front to muster up further conjoint initiatives for the skill development and growth of national engineers routing them towards international recognition and cross border opportunities.
