PESHAWAR - US Ambassador to Pakistan, Richard Olson called on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engr Shaukatullah at Governor’s House, Peshawar, on Tuesday. Richard Olson who was also accompanied by the US Consul General at Peshawar, Robert G. Reed, remained with the Governor for some time and discussed matters of mutual interest with special reference to the security situation in the region.

Talking on this occasion, the Governor welcomed the distinguished guests and said that the situation in FATA and the province is far better from law and order point of views as compared to the past and there exists every hope that it will further improve.    He also expressed thanks to the US government and the people for their cooperation and support in further supplementing the ongoing efforts of the government in ensuring socio-economic uplift of the people of the province as well as FATA and requested for interventions in education, communications and hydel power generate sector.

Meanwhile, Mr. Richard Olson also congratulated Engineer Shaukatullah on assuming the office of the Governor and the governor responded the good gestures with thanks.
