KARACHI - Pakistan Coast Guards claimed to have seized 500 kilogramme of hashish from Shumal Bandar near Pasni airport in Balochistan.
According to the statement issued here on Tuesday, on credible information from intelligence resources about the smuggling of narcotics in Shumal Bandar near Pasni airport, a seizure was carried out by the PCG special mobile patrol.
PCG team during search operation against drug traffickers opened fire on seeing coast guards patrolling team.
After exchange of the fire, drug traffickers managed to flee from the scene by taking advantage of darkness and mountainous terrain.
During search operation, the PCG officials recovered 500 kilogrammes of fine quality hashish from desolate mountainous area. The hashish is of worth approximate Rs9,000,000 in the market.
Further investigation was underway by the PCG special investigation team.
