Two girls among 9 dead in mishaps

JHANG/BAHAWALNAGAR/SHEIKHUPURA/FAISALABAD/HAFIZABAD/TOBA TEK SINGH - Nine persons including two girls and a boy were killed in separate incidents of violence and road mishaps over the past 24 hours.
As per detail, in Jhang a Pakistan Navy employs was crushed to death by a speeding trailer on Jhang-Shorkot Road. The mishap happened when Nadeem and his father Khalid, residents of shorkot were going on a motorcycle when near Basti Haiderabad Morr a speeding trailer coming from the opposite direction hit the bike. Resultantly, Nadeem died on the spot while his father sustained serious injuries and was admitted to THQ Hospital. The driver fled the scene while the police have registered a case against the unidentified driver. In another incident a young girl was electrocuted. According to reports, 16-year-old Sadia, daughter of Muhammad Iqbal, a resident of Shorkot city was pressing clothes when suddenly she sustained electric shocks and died instantly.
In BAHAWALNAGAR, a citizen was killed by robbers during robbery here the other day. The incident occurred when robbers stormed into the house of one Hanif, a resident of Farooqabad Colony. In the meantime the culprits shot at and killed him when he attempted to overpower them.
Similarly in SHEIKHUPURA, a teenager lost his life while his uncle sustained critical injuries in a road accident occurred on Lahore Road near Mansoorabad locality. The deceased identified as Abdul Rehman and his uncle Kashif were on the way to city on a motorcycle when a tractor-trolley hit the two-wheeler. Resultantly Abdul Rehman, 5, died instantly while his uncle Kashif got severe wounds and was shifted to nearby hospital.
In another incident a motorcyclist was crushed to death by a truck in the limits of Ferozewala Police here on Tuesday. Shafiq, 25, was on the way on a motorcycle when near Kashmir Park a rashly driven truck hit the bike. Resultantly he received severe injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
In FAISALABAD, a five-year old boy was crushed to death after falling from a tractor near Tandlianwala in the remit of Saddr Police.
Zahid Sarfraz, a resident of Chak 408-GB and his son Muhammad Abdullah were travelling on a tractor when the child fell from the vehicle and crushed under its wheels. The Saddar Police registered report of the incident.
Meanwhile, in HAFIZABAD, a minor girl was shot dead and her father injured seriously by dacoits near Shadiwal village.
Muhammad Asghar, a resident of Kot Nakka along with his 8-year-old daughter Musarat Bibi was on way to his village on a bike when he was intercepted by two armed dacoits. However, on resistance, the dacoits started torturing Asghar. Thereupon, his daughter raised alarms at which the culprits opened fire, killing Musarat and injuring Asghar critically.
The Pindi Bhattian Saddr Police have registered a case. Meanwhile, the villagers of Muradian spotted the dead body of about 35-year-old man, floating in the canal and informed the police which recovered the body and sent to the city morgue for autopsy. There was no visible sign of violence on the body. The identity of deceased could not be confirmed yet.
In TOBA TEK SINGH, a villager was crushed by a train near Chak 373/JB Pairaywal. The deceased namely Jamal Din of chak 158/GB Khakhan was crossing railway track when suddenly Lahore-bound Karakoram express train crushed him to death.
