LAHORE -  Airport Security Force (ASF) on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a passenger recovering 1.7 Kg heroin from his possession at Allama Iqbal International Airport.
ASF spokesman said that passenger Muhammad Kashif was on his way to London via flight Pk-757.
Interestingly the accused had crossed three search counters including Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) counter, Customs counter and the first counter of ASF.
Narcotics was detected on second search counter of ASF where ASF staffer made a thorough search of his luggage and and recovered heroin his CPU.
It was second time within week that narcotics was recovered from the fourth search counter.
A female passenger was also arrested a few days back carrying heroin in a Shampoo bottle and concealed in her body. She also passed through above said three counters successfully.
ASF officials after preliminary investigations handed over the accused to ANF authorities for further action. Accused Kashif is resident of Sialkot and he was carrying fine quality heroin of worth Rs10.75 millions in international market. DG ASF has announced cash prize and appreciation certificates for concerned officers.
Fak traveler arrested
Immigration authorities on Wednesday arrested a passenger trying to travel on fake travel documents.
An FIA officer said that Muhammad Khalid resident of Sargohda was scheduled to board an Italy bound PIA flight Pk-733. During immigration process his visa and passport was found fake. Immigration authorities arrested passenger and sent him to Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) for registration of case. During preliminary interrogation passenger told the immigration authorities that he had obtained said visa and passport from Shah Husain, a travel agent of Jhang. Passenger revealed that he had paid Rs1.3 millions for the said travel documents
Executive Engineer arrested
FIA, Anti Corruption Circle, (ACC) on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a female Executive Engineer, (XEN) Pak PWD Lahore on corruption charges.
An FIR No-08/14 has already been registered against her in FIA. She was allegedly involved in corruption of Rs10 millions, said an officer of FIA.
She spent above said amount on development of private land rather that public land, sources claimed adding that accused Humaira Khuram was backed by some senior politicians.
