ISLAMABAD- The Judicial Commission formed for appointment of judges for higher courts has approved extension for two judges of Peshawar High Court, while 9 additional judges have been regularized.

The commission convened by the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Tassaduq Hussain Jillani regularized Justice Asadullah Khan, Justice Malik Manzoor, Justice Arshad Qaisar, Justice Jahan Khanzada, Justice Mussarat ullah, Justice Lal Jan Khattak, Justice Siraj Uddin, and Justice Akram ullah.

Those granted extensions are Syed Iftikhar Hussain and Shah Muhammad Daud.

The recommendation for these judges would be forwarded to the parliamentary committee, which after its final approval would forward the summary to the President of Pakistan for issuing a notification regarding this issue.
