CM asks CPSP to facilitate PGTs appointment

rawalpindi - Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shehbaz Sharif has requested College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan to facilitate appointment of Postgraduate Trainees (PGTs) on rotation at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospitals. This request was made by CM during a meeting with a delegation of CPSP which called on him at CM Secretariat, Lahore, informed CPSP spokesman yesterday.
The CPSP delegation comprised Prof. Zafar Ullah Chahudary, President CPSP, Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, Senior Vice President and Prof. M Shaoib Shafi, he said. He added that Punjab Health Minister and Secretary Health were also present in meeting.
According to him, the CM has requested CPSP to facilitate appointment of PGTs in rotation at DHQs. Creation of more specialty based jobs in tertiary care hospitals was also discussed.
The CM Punjab has formed a high-level committee for development of emergency medicine specialty in Punjab as proposed by Prof. M.Shoaib Shafi. The CM appreciated CPSP role in medical education and patient care in Punjab.
