KAMALIA: Chairman National Assembly Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges Chaudhry Asadur Rehman vowed to stop corruption in the society.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference at the office of the Market Committee Kamalia after he congratulated the newly elected chairman of Market Committee Kamalia. He claimed that he had never done corruption nor will allow anyone to do the same in the name of PML-N. “I have declared war against corruption. We were offered numerous positions and privileges as political bribes in the previous periods, but our training from father is to never do the forbidden, not even thinking about doing corruption,” he said.
He added that Kamalia-Harappa Bridge was delayed by the irrigation authorities. The design of the bridge was not properly informed to the irrigation officials and they have serious concerns on this which they have conveyed to the higher authorities. The matter has stalled the bridge construction work, he said. “Opponents are spreading propaganda against me. I have stopped the work of the bridge. These people will taste their own medicine. I want good people to make progress and bad people to stop corruption,” he said.–Staff Reporter
