SIALKOT:-The District Bar Association observed Monday as day of mourning over the sad demise of veteran human rights activist Asma Jahangir. The DBA convened a general house meeting with its Kh Irfanul Haq in the chair, where lawyers paid rich tribute to late Asma Jahangir for her life-long struggle for raising her voice for voiceless, democracy and human rights protection. The DBA president said that Asma Jahangir remained a global icon of human rights protection in Pakistan.

The DBA passed unanimous resolution, paying glowing tribute to the veteran jurist and champion of democracy. The resolution read that the void created by Asama Jahangir death is hard to be filled.
