TOBA TEK SINGH - The Motorway (M-4) Gojra-Shorkot section will be completed in July according to the agreement with Chinese construction company. However, Lahore-Abdul Hakeem portion of the Peshawar-Lahore-Karachi Motorway which passes through Toba Tek Singh district’s Rajana and Pirmahal areas, will be opened for traffic in April and prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will be chief guest on the occasion.
This was claimed by Federal Minister of State for Communication Junaid Anwaar Ch in his speech to the participants of oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected office-bearers of the press club at Shorkot Cantt on Monday. He claimed that all villages in his constituency NA-93 which starts from Toba and ends near Shorkot Cantt have been provided with gas facility, adding that his constituency is the only one all over Pakistan where every village has been provided gas facility.
He said that general election 2018 will be won by PML-N with a landslide majority due to its performance. He urged the journalists not to indulge in yellow journalism and pinpoint genuine public problems and never hesitate in praising government’s good works. Punjab Anti-Terrorism Minister Col (r) Sardar Ayub Gadhi, MPA Mian Muhammad Rafiq, Toba press club president Manzoor Ahmad Naz, Shorkot Cantt press club president Mian Muhammad Tahir, Tariq Saeed, Syed Qamar Geelani and ARY Lahore’s chief reporter Mazhar Iqbal also addressed the ceremony.

A car driver died and three other persons got injured when the car collided with a tractor at Gojra here on Monday
The deceased identified as Asim, Shahbaz, Arsalan and Mazhar, resident of Chak 366/JB, were on the way to Faisalabad Airport in a car. Near Chaudhry Sugar mills on Gojra-Faisalabad Road, the car collided with a tractor as a result Asim died instantly while the others got injured. The injured were rushed to Gojra THQ Hospital from where doctors referred Shahbaz and Arsalan to Faisalabad Allied hospital in critical condition.
