RAWALPINDI - Around 11 sub-inspectors (SIs) of Rawalpindi police got promoted to the rank of inspector, informed a police spokesman on Friday. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Inam Ghani had given the formal approval for the promotions of these police officers on the recommendation of departmental promotion committee, he said. In this regard, a badge-pinning ceremony was held at Police Line during which City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Ahsan Younas, SSP Operations Shohaib Mehmood and SSP Investigation Muhammad Faisal Kamran decorated the newly promoted inspectors with badges.
Those, who have been promoted to the rank of inspectors include Nazir Ahmed, Tasawar Hussain, Muhammad Ayub, Muhammad Raffique, Pehalwan Khan, Ghulam Asghar, Muhammad Khan, Shabbir Hussain, Muhammad Saeed, Nasir Hussain and Azhar Hussain.
Addressing the ceremony, CPO Muhammad Ahsan Younas said the responsibilities and duties of the police officers have mounted with their promotions. He said the newly promoted officers should serve the citizens with more dedication, commitment and honesty.
