Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz has said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) supports election reforms.

Talking to media, Maryam Nawaz said PDM does not support secret voting in Senate elections; however, opposition will not cooperate with Imran Khan for any legislation.

She alleged that people who took bribes as well as people who made video belong to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and leak of video was carefully timed.

She further claimed that efforts were made to split PML-N into fractions but ideology of Nawaz Sharif is very popular among masses.

The PML-N leader, while referring to Prime Minister Imran Khan, said that every effort is being made to protect ‘incompetent’ and vowed to continue raising voice against biased system.

Earlier, a statement issued by PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that her party’s parliamentary board had also finalized the names for tickets in the Senate.

She said that names of five party leaders from Punjab province have been approved and it has been decided to give party ticket to Advocate Azam Nazir Tarar for the technocrat seat.

The names of Pervez Rashid, Mushahidullah Khan and Prof. Sajid Mir have been approved for the general seats while Barrister Sadia Abbasi was given party ticket for the women’s seat.
