LAHORE After this newspaper reported that 25 junior police officers, using their connections,who have been serving as SHOs in different police stations in the Punjab Capital, the CCPO Lahore has ordered the DIG Operations to immediately replace all the juniors with inspectors. The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Muhammad Aslam Tareen has directed the DIG Operations Rao Sardar Ali Khan through a summary on Wednesday night to replace Sub-Inspectors from various police stations with inspectors as soon as possible. Reliable sources in CCPO Office disclosed that the Lahore Police Chief Aslam Tareen has issued a comprehensive list of those Station House Officers (SHOs) who are discharging their duties without qualifying Upper Courses. They claimed in an official communiqu dispatched on Wednesday night, the CCPO has pointed out those SHOs mostly Sub-Inspectors to replace them with those police officers and inspectors who have qualified Upper Courses as immediate as possible. According to well placed sources, SHO Civil Lines SI Rafiullah, Qilla Gujjar Singh SHO SI Majid Bashir, New Anarkali SHO SI Adnan Masood, Gulshan Ravi SHO SI Imran Pasha, Harbanspura SHO Adress Quershi, Women Racecourse SHO Azra Parveen, SHO Sanda Zahid Nawaz Randhawa, Racecourse SHO Taimur Malik, SHO Manawan Muhammad Ameen, SHO Wahdat Colony Asghar Ali, SHO Ghalib Market Azhar Hussain and some other might be replaced according to CCPO orders. It may worth mentioning here the situation is quite complicated in official structure of Lahore Police as over two dozens of junior police officers have been appointed as SHOs who are allegedly involved in acute corruption, misuse of power and have showed criminal negligence while discharging their duties.
