It is very disturbing to know that, the police have still not been provided with cell phone locators. This is apparently due to the red tape in the state machinery. In this age of technology, even some private organizations have this facility, while our police are being denied this facility. This is also not the first instance of its kind, but there are numerous examples where the effectiveness of police has been hampered, by non-availability of proper facilities and equipment. As the use of mobile phones is increasing, there is also a growing trend among criminals to use cell phones for their activities.
