As expected the MQM has come back into the governments fold. How can a fish live out of water? MQM excels in threatening postures, but they are just postures to extort the maximum benefit for their party. If we look at its history for nearly the last 20 years, it has never been out of the existing government. How else could it carry on its 'activities? As it has been in every government, whether civilian or military, for such a long time, necessarily it must bear the full blame for the sorry state of affairs we are in today, including extortion and law or order situation in Karachi.
