BERLIN (Reuters) - Chancellor Angela Merkels cabinet on Wednesday agreed to extend Germanys Afghan deployment by a year with a new mandate which for the first time named a date for when troop withdrawals should begin. From the end of 2011, the army is due to begin pulling troops out of Afghanistan, according to the mandate, although the centre-right government set no deadline for a complete withdrawal. Parliament is due to vote on the mandate on Jan. 28.
