ISLAMABAD - Judicial Commission of Pakistan's meeting, which was to be held on January 15 regarding the appointment of judges in the superior courts, has been postponed after the murder of Justice Javed Iqbal's parents. According to the new schedule, now the JCP's meeting will be held on January 22. Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had summoned JCP's meeting on January 15 for the appointment of two apex court judges. The names of Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany, and another senior judge are under consideration for the elevation to the Supreme Court.
