LAHORE – Mujahid Squad claimed to have arrested 40 criminals involved in numerous drugs peddling acts here in the provincial capital on Thursday. According to an official communiqué, the Squad has recovered drugs like heroin, charras, liquor, illegal automatic sophisticated firearms, and other stolen and snatched valuables from their possession.
The spokesman Yaseen Butt said that three hardened dacoits are also among the arrested criminals, who have killed, kidnapped, and robbed many victim families.
He said during police crackdown, 8 pistols, dozens of live cartridges, magazines, 300 small boxes of explosive materials, and 650 explosive matchboxes have been seized after raiding several hideouts of the criminals.
He, however, claimed that 38 cases have been lodged against the arrested criminals. Further investigations are underway.
