LAHORE – FIA claimed on Thursday to have arrested two human traffickers allegedly involved in human smuggling and minting money from innocent peoples.

An FIA official said that FIA passport Cell Gujranwala arrested two accused Ghulam Sarwar and Muhammad Abbas involved in human trafficking and recovered a good number of passports and other travel documents from their possession.

Ghulam Sarwar resident of Lalamusa was running a Technical Workshop wherein skilled youngsters were tested to get job abroad. The owner of the workshop started human smuggling under the cover of workshop. Raiding team recovered 125 passports from his possession. Muhammad Abbas was caught red handed when he was receiving Rs 35000 from a citizen to send him Greece. Modus operandi of the accused was to receive Rs 35000 from the traveler first for immediate expenses and then rest of the amount Rs Five to six lakh were received from traveler on his arrival in Greece. FIA has registered a case against the accused and further investigations are underway.
