SIALKOT - Federal Minister for National Regulations and Services Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that dialogs were the best way to resolve issues and urged on Minhajul Quran Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri to adopt the way of dialogue instead of long march keeping view the prevailing wave of terrorism incidents in the country.

The government will not allow anybody to create law and order situation and take law into hand for the personal gains or political motives and it will earn bad name for the country,” she said. Talking to media after inaugurating the Education Broadband Centre at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Uggoki here on Saturday evening, the federal minister said that overall all religious and political parties were against the long march of Dr Qadri adding that all coalition partners were backing the government.

She claimed that PML-Q Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain would play the role of a bridge between government and Dr Qadri for creating better understand. Dr Firdous said that Dr Qadri should withdraw the long march call for the larger national interest keeping in view the internal and external situation of the country, adding that nobody had any objection to the roadmap of Dr Qadri.  She said that the Election Commission of Pakistan was the best forum for discussing different aspects of the proposed roadmap for the improvement of the system.

Dr Firdous asserted that President Asif Zardari had promoted the policy of reconciliation and tolerance instead of adopting confrontation and coalition partners were fully backing the government as a result of which democracy and democratic institutions strengthened in the country.

Earlier, addressing the students of the school the federal minister said that the government was utilizing all-out resources for the promotion of Information Technology across the country aimed at making Pakistan a developed country of the globe. She stressed upon the girl students that they should come forward and opt for Information Technology to achieve development in every sphere of life. The government believes in women empowerment and without involving women folk development of the country is not possible,” she argued.

Earlier, the federal minister inaugurated Education Broadband Centre.
