Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister Sirajul Haq on Sunday lashed out at State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali, saying that he was inflicting damage on the country by presenting wrong facts and figures.

Interacting with media persons here, Sirajul Haq said that the federal government should help Abid Sher Ali by arranging his treatment if he was suffering from any mental illness. He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa govt was also ready to bear his treatment cost.

The KP minister said that he didn’t recognise Abid Sher Ali as the representative of the federal government, adding that he was bringing bad name to the PML-N and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should take back the ministry from him.

To a question, the KPK senior minister said that there were 20 such points on rivers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from where 18,000 megawatts electricity could be produced. He said the federal government was transferring the control of Pesco to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in such a way that the benefit would go to the Centre while the KPK would have to bear the losses.

The minister said the KP govt was forced to block Nato supplies due to US aggression, while the federal government instead of persuading the US for stopping drone attacks was speaking against the KP govt.
