The preparations for celebration of Eid Miladun Nabi (SAWW) are in full swing as buildings especially mosques, homes, plazas and roads have been decorated with Islamic flags, colourful buntings, banners and fancy lights.

The Muslims of all ages particularly youth and children are busy day and night decorating their areas to celebrate the arrival of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) with religious zeal and fervour.

Assistant Commissioner Safder Hussain Virk said that various processions would be taken out in different localities of the tehsil on 12th of Rabiul Awwal. These processions would start appearing early in the morning from different areas till Magrib. Some the processions would start from Markazi Jamia Masjid, Main Bazaar, Circular Road, Sikandar-e-Azam Chowk, Garden Town, Iqbalpura and Safdarabad Road, circle the entire city and culminate at Sangla Gate near City Police Station.

SDPO Riyasat Bajwa said that the police had chalked out a security plan to maintain law and order. Police including special branch officials would be deployed at every nook and corner of the city to avoid any untoward incident.

A large number of banners and gigantic billboards have also been displayed to celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi (SAWW) in the city. The main Bazaar, fruit and vegetables markets, Hameed Nazami Road, Committee Bazaar, Railway Galli and College Road have been beautifully decorated. Besides processions, Naat congregations are also being held and special programmes are being prepared to highlight different aspects of the life of Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). Different religious, social, cultural and educational institutions and organisations have finalised their programmes. Models of Khana-e-Ka’ba and Masjid-e-Nabvi exhibited on major squares of the city.
