ISLMABAD  - Rawalpindi were in driving seat against Sialkot in Faysal Bank Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2013-2014 second round Group-B match played here at National Ground on Sunday. Only rain can save Sialkot from defeat as they lost six second innings wickets for 162 in 59 overs and still requires 19 more runs to avoid innings defeat. M Saeed made 52, Mansoor Amjed 42. Baber Naeem, Haseeb Azam and Nasir Malik took two wickets. Earlier, Rawalpindi resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 314-6 wickets and were all out on 375, taking a 185-run lead. Salman Ali took 7 for 117 runs.

In Group-A match played at Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar, Karachi Whites finished day-3 at 173 for the loss of 8 wickets in 55 overs, taking an overall lead of 204 runs with two second innings wickets still intact. Earlier, Karachi resumed their second innings at the overnight score of 11 for the loss of 2 wickets in 2.4 overs, M Hassan was unbeaten at 51. Taj Wali took 5 for 74 and Azam Khan 2 for 32.
