ISLAMABAD- Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid today dismissed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s claim of fraud in NA-122, Lahore and offered forensic audit of the votes.

Speaking to media persons outside the Parliament House, Rashid accused Imran Khan of misleading the nation on the issue of rigging in the last elections.

The Information Minister said that if the inquiry report by the commission has used the word ‘bogus’ then he would himself would demand Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq to submit his resignation.

He urged the PTI chairman to start speaking the truth now. He said that he would tell Khan exactly what is written in the report. Rasheed said that if Khan does not want to read the documents himself then he could ask PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi to read it to him.

“When will Imran Khan start telling the truth to nation? He has been misleading the nation for the past six months,” he said.

“I am going to make a big offer to Imran Khan today,” he said, adding that he would himself take resignation from Ayaz Sadiq if word ‘bogus’ was found in the commission’s report.

He urged Khan to conduct forensic tests of Sadiq’s votes; if he finds them fake then he wins. PTI secretary general Jahangir Tareen’s as many as 400 votes were reduced after his constituency was opened to investigations. He said that PTI candidates from the constituency of Khawaja Asif did not go to the tribunal and paid fine for their disobedience.

Rasheed said that if Tareen would hire a reliable lawyer then it obviously would cost him at least Rs 2 crore. Hamid Khan took more than 10 hearings in the constituency of Saad Rafique, he added. The minister said that PTI chairman is playing a role of a strategic partner of terrorists. PTI wanted to shut down Pakistan on December 16 2014 and the brutal Army Public School attack in Peshawar also happened on December 16 2014.

“Imarn Khan is a strategic partner of terrorists. Whenever government acts against terrorists, Imran starts agitation,” he alleged.
