PESHAWAR – Promising squash player Khushal Riaz Khan has returned home after participating in U-13 of the British Junior Open Squash Championship held in Sheffield from January 2-6 where he won five out of total eight matches. Khushal defeated British top seed Alex Von Blerk in three straight games in the first round. He then defeated British Gabriel Cox in next match 3-2. However, he lost to hot favourite Mexican Emilio Valazquaz. He did not give up and continued to do well and defeated Polish Jakub Pyltowany 3-1 and French top seed Gregory Malsang in three straight games. On his return, Khushal paid tribute to PSF secretary Group Capt Amir Nawaz and KPSA chief Qamar Zaman for helping him make international debut. “I will work with new zeal and spirit to win lost glory for my country.”
