PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak visited various educational institutions in Peshawar city and reviewed security arrangements there.
Provincial ministers, civil and security high-ups are also accompanied him.  On this occasion, he mixed up with students and teachers in the classrooms and discussed security and educational matters with them while issued on the spot directives to the concerned authorities for improving certain security and syllabus related affairs when the students and teachers pinpointed it to him.
The students of Government Higher Secondary schools Peshawar Cantt, Centennial High School Peshawar city and Frontier College for Women applauded with happiness the arrival of chief minister there.
They told that extraordinary security arrangements are being made in their schools and colleges but they did not feel insecure or scared in the classrooms in any respect. The teachers revealed that there was extraordinary attendance of students in the educational institutions while their morale was also much high.
However, they said that the situation would be quite different in case of any danger of terror then.  “We the teachers will valiantly face the terrorists but will never allow them to even slightly harm the students,” they added.
Pervez Khattak while eulogising the high spirit of the students and teachers acknowledged that terrorists attacked our little angels with unexpected barbarism and spread bullets on them without any religious or human justification.
However, he said that the nation was quite ready to fight the terrorists and defeat them and would never allow terror even touch our teens at any cost. He said that his party head Imran Khan and with wife Reham Khan also wanted to visit Army Public School in Peshawar but postponed it due to early closing of the school.
The chief minister in response to a question of a journalist made clear that there would be no dearth of funds for security of educational institutions.  He said that concrete steps about security and terrorism were our top most priority.
However, he further made clear that the fees of any government or private educational institutions would not be allowed to enhance on pretext of security.  He said that not only the security of all the educational institutions would be made foolproof in a fast and gradual manner but exemplary environment of learning would be created in schools and colleges of the province as he said national enthusiasm has also been created for it in backdrop of Peshawar tragedy.
