LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhary Sarwar has said that provision of clean drinking water to public at large is his top priority.

Talking to the media after inaugurating water filtration plant at Mayo Hospital on Monday, he said that large population had no access to clean drinking water which was increasing load on public sector hospitals. Referring to the prevailing scenario, the governor urged political parties to resolve issues through negotiations as country was in a state of war. He said that everybody should think beyond his/her personal interests and should work for a better future of Pakistan.

He said that not only the armed forces but also the entire nation was rendering sacrifices in the war on terror. He expressed hope that the nation would soon get rid of the cancer of terrorism. He said that the government was utilising all the available resources for curbing terrorism, establishing peace and providing clean drinking water to public at large. –Staff Reporter
