ISLAMABAD  -  Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has topped the list of premiers by making maximum foreign trips during one and half year with 22 visits costing Rs350 million of the national exchequer. While, President Mamnoon Hussain has made seven visits costing Rs70 million.

According to the record of Foreign Office, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif made 22 official trips in last 18 months, making him the first premier to roam the world for maximum times in a minimum time span. Each tour of the premier cost the national exchequer more than Rs15 million.

With most of his foreign journeys that proved much expensive, Prime Minister’s recent visit to Bahrain was relatively cheap costing Rs0.8 million where he stayed only for five days.

However, his one-day voyage to the Netherlands proved much expensive where his official trip devoured Rs12.5 million. The PM attended 2014 Nuclear Security Summit there.

According to details, the premier did his first visit to China during the July 3-8, 2013 where he spent 26.2 million after that he went to Turkey during September 16-18, 2013 where he spent Rs11.9 million, In the United States during September 23-29, 2013 he spent 91.6 million.

Later he went to the United Kingdom (22-23 & 29-30 September, 2013), where he spent Rs30.9 millions, In  US (22-23 October, 2013), he spent Rs35.0 million, In Sri Lanka (November 15-17, 2013), he spent Rs11.8 million, In Thailand (November 17-19, 2013), he spent Rs9.7 million, In Kabul (November 30, 2013), he spent Rs1.4 million, In Turkey (February l2-15, 2014), he spent Rs6.8 million, In The Hague (March 23-25, 2014), he spent Rs12.5 million.

After that he went to China (April 8-11, 2014), where he spent Rs11.7 million, In UK (29 April to 4 May, 2014), he spent Rs2.5 million, In Iran (May 11-12, 2014), he spent Rs2.6 million, In India (May 26-27, 2014 26-27), he spent Rs4.3 million, In Tajikistan (June 17-18, 2014), he spent Rs3.7 million, In New York (September 23-27, 2014), he spent Rs42.4 million, In China (November 7-9, 2014) Rs11.7 million. In Germany (November 10-12, 2014) , he spent Rs7.4 million, In UK (November 12-14, 2014), he spent Rs8.1 million, In Nepal (November 22-27, 2014), he spent Rs7.8 million, In UK (December  2-6, 2014), he spent Rs11.0 million and his last visit to Bahrain he spent only Rs0.8 million.

According to the details, President Mamnoon spent during visits of South Africa Rs2.8 million, China Rs13.3 million, Afghanistan Rs0.4 million, China Rs10.3 million, Nigeria Rs9.1 million, Turkey Rs2.9 million and Afghanistan Rs1.02 million.
