QUETTA - A 12-member Balochistan Cabinet on Tuesday took oath at a ceremony held here at Governor House. Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai administered oath to the new Ministers.

Balochistan Chief Minister, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri was also present.

The new provincial Cabinet includes, Nawab Jangez Khan Marri, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani, Nawab Ayaz Jogezai, Sheikh Jaffar Mandokhel, Sardar Muhammad Aslam Bizenjo, Sardar Sarfaraz Domki, Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai, Mir Mujib-ul-Rehman Muhammad Hasni, Sardar Mustafa Khan Tareen, Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch and Abdul Raheem Ziaratwal.

Four Ministers including Nawab Ayaz Jogezai, Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai,

Sardar Mustafa Khan Tareen and Abdul Raheem Ziaratwal who took oath belonged to Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP). The National Party's (NP) four Ministers took oath including Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch, Mir Mujib-ul-Rehman Muhammad Hasni, Sardar Aslam Bizenjo and Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani.

Three Ministers belonging to PML-N were Nawab Jangez Marri, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti and Sardar Sarfaraz Domki while one Minister hailing from PML-Q, Sheikh Jaffar Mandokhel also took oath.

Senator Agha Shahbaz Durrani, Members Balochistan Assembly, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Saifullah Chathha, IG Police Balochistan, Ahsan Mehboob and senior officials also attended the ceremony.


Suspected militants opened firing at a Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) vehicle carrying officials on Tuesday, injuring at least five personnel in Balochistan's Turbat area, while a labourer was killed in a separate firing incident at an FWO camp in the same district, officials said.

Levies sources said the FWO personnel were going from Hoshap to Panjgoor area when their vehicle was attacked.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, while the assailants escaped unhurt from the spot.

In another incident, a labourer was killed when militants opened firing at an FWO Camp in Hoshap area of Turbat.

Levies and Frontier Corps officials reached the spot as investigation into the incident went underway.
