The Farmers Welfare Association (FWA) Noorpur Thal has urged the government to facilitate the farmers of Thal by restoring subsidy on electricity and flat-rates which growers could afford.
According to a press release issued here, FWA Tehsil President Raja Tariq Masood Ayaz, Malik Tahir, social workers Malik Raza Ali, Malik Ghulam Kallu and Malik Sher Bahadhar demanded the government to consider suggestions of farmer organisation while making the upcoming budget.
They further said that the farmers are facing great problems as electricity, petroleum and prices of other agri-input were increasing.
TBA election held: The election of Tehsil Bar Association for the slots of president, vice president and secretary were held here the other day.
Malik Mushtaq Hussain Borana was elected as TBA President and Malik Waqar Hussain Jora was elected as general secretary while Malik Aboul Hasan and Malik Muhammad Farooq Jasra were elected as vice-president and joint secretary respectively.
Talking to this scribe, newly-elected the TBA President said that he would work hard for the rights of the lawyers. He also thanked local legal community for favour. Former TBA Presidents - Malik Gulzar Ahmad Bagoor and Raja Muhammad Ashraf Hayat were also present on the occasion.
