Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will seek permission from government for participating in the World T20 in India, Waqt News reported. “PCB will try to convince the government to allow team’s participation in the tournament,” media sources reported.

According to PCB sources the permission will be sought within this month. “There is no permission needed for participation in Asia Cup in Bangladesh,” sources added.

The cricketing ties of Pakistan and India are in turmoil after the Indian cricket board did not play the scheduled bilateral series in last December. The Indian government did not permit its cricket board to participate in the bilateral series against Pakistan.

Even though, a MoU was signed between both cricket boards but the Indian board did not act upon it despite numerous attempts by Pakistan. After the cancellation of the series, Pakistan government stopped the board from further persuing it and even hinted that Pakistani team might not participate in the coming World T20 in India.
