The Sialkot based sports goods manufacturers and exporters have hoped that the forthcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) will cause a boom in the sales of the Pakistan-made sports goods, and increase the export orders from foreign buyers.
Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) President Mansur Ahmed hoped that global fever of Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Cricket World Cup 2016 would open the new business vistas for Sialkot based sports goods manufacturers and exporters at the international trade markets enabling them to explore and capture these international trade markets by exporting the world class sports goods as well.
The SCCI president termed it a very good and healthy sign of increasing business and exports of sports goods. He said that Sialkot was globally famous for producing world-class sports goods.
He said that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and ICC T-20 Cricket World Cup 2016 would bring unique opportunities to increase the sports goods’ exports from Sialkot, Pakistan.
SCCI SVP Sarfraz Butt said that there will be visible increase in the exports of sports goods including cricket bats, pads, batting gloves, wicket keeping gloves, Thai pads, helmets and kit bags from Sialkot.
Prof Safdar Sandal, a sports goods exporter, said Sialkot was globally famous for producing the world-class sports goods. He said that the sports goods were also getting popularity in World’s non-cricket playing countries, especially Spain, France, Brazil and Belgium. He said that Sialkot-based sports goods manufacturers and exporters had introduced quality cricket bats in the world.
Former PSGMEA Chairman Safdar Sandal said that the prevailing situation will open the new vistas of business and exports for the Sialkot based sports manufacturers. He said the Sialkot exporters would get the export orders in bulk from the foreign buyers. Prof Safdar narrated that the welcoming situation would also ensure easy and hurdle free access of Sialkot based sports goods exporters to the international markets. He said that the Sialkot exporters have a great potential to explore and capture the international trade markets.
