Two siblings were murdered allegedly over a family dispute in Chah Kalan area of Kasur here on Tuesday.

The incident occurred when 35-year-old Sharafat Ali and his sister 22-year-old Saima were asleep in their house. In the meanwhile, unidentified gunmen entered the house and fired indiscriminate gunshots, killing both the siblings on the spot.

The accused fled the scene after the offence. The police suspected that the incident might be the result of a domestic dispute as father and a brother of the deceased have disappeared from the scene.

They said that investigation has been launched to unfurl the mystery behind the incident. The police, however, registered a case against unidentified assailants.

MAN CRUSHED TO DEATH: A motorcyclist was crushed to death by a speeding tractor-trolley near Gohar Jagheer here on Tuesday.

Sharjeel was going back to his home on a motorbike. As he reached near Gohar Jagheer Road, a speeding tractor-trolley hit him. He sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he breathed his last. The police have registered a case against unidentified driver.

Man, sister shot dead


Two siblings were killed by unidentified assailants in the precincts of Donga Bonga Police on Tuesday.

According to police, six unidentified assailants stormed into the house of Asghar Baloch in Basti Roamwali in the remit of Donga Bonga Police. The assailants started indiscriminate firing, as a result Asghar Baloch, 38, and his sister Najma, 18, were killed on the spot. The accused later took away licensed weapons from the home and fled away. The Donga Bonga Police shifted the dead bodies to DHQ hospital Bahawalnagar for autopsy. However motive behind the incident could not be ascertain yet. The police have registered a case against unidentified accused.
