Bomber killed while planting explosives

KOHAT A young man was killed during a bomb blast at Khawasi Banda Jarma Kohat when he was trying to plant a bomb outside the house of an Orkzai tribal chief Sawab Khan. Police told media that a young boy later identified as Fazal Amin in Kharmato village was planting the bomb outside the tribal chiefs house when it went off and he died on the spot. According to a bomb disposal squad official, the bomb contained 7-kg explosive material. A pistol was also found on the scene of the incident. Police also found the identity card of the boy and a few important papers. In the identity card the name and picture were found of young boy as Fazal amin student of Iqra Madrasa. On this occasion the tribal chief Sawab Khan told that few unidentified people attacked him 3 weeks back but he escaped. This was the second attack, he said. Police collected evidence and sent the dead body to forensic laboratory Peshawar for further examination and report, meanwhile police started search for the found identity card holder Fazal amin and went to the house of Fazal Amin and Madrasa. Investigation is underway till the filing of this report. Online adds: Two people were injured in a rocket attack in Bara Bazaar here in Khyber Agency on Monday. According to media reports, unknown militants fired a rocket into Bara Bazaar. However, no loss of life was reported in the incident. According to a private TV channel, while quoting sources, the target was Bara Press Club, where security forces had setup bunkers. After retaliation from security forces, attackers managed to escape from the scene. The security forces after the attack, cordoned off the area and launched a search operation which was underway, when the last reports came in. It is to be noted here that curfew has already been imposed in the area and the market was closed. Meanwhile, 300 suspected people were rounded up in the agency.
