LAHORE - DIG City Traffic Police Tariq Masood Yaseen has said lack of traffic rules and the knowledge about signals among the citizens was the chief reason of road accidents. In a circular issued on Monday, DIG maintained the traffic police was launching two weeklong traffic rules awareness campaign titled: Lane Line in the provincial capital. In first step, lady wardens and three senior inspectors will be deployed at The Mall, Jail Road, Ferozpur Road and Main Boulevard. The DIG further said the second step would be initiated from Model Town Circle, Cantt Area, Multan Road and Walton Road. As per details, 40 wardens at eight points located at The Mall, 25 wardens at five points at Jail Road, 30 wardens at six points at Ferozpur Road and 25 wardens would be deployed at five points at Main Boulevard.
