GUJRANWALA/ATTOCK - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif made a surprising visit to Ramazan bazaars in Gujranwala and inspected the prices and quality of various items.

The CM ordered to seal a flour mills for supplying low quality flour to Ramazan bazaars. He said that the government was giving huge subsidy at daily use items for the relief of people and it is duty of government officers to work hard to make the government efforts fruitful.

Shahbaz said that no one would be allowed to overcharge and the profiteers would be dealt with sternly. He ordered to increase weight of sugar bag from one kg to two kg. he inspected various stalls of People Colony and Shaheenabad Ramazan bazaars and checked the quality and quantity of daily use items.

During checking, he ordered to seal Muzaffar Flour Mills for supplying low quality flour. Shahbaz Sahrif also enquired from the consumers about the availability and quality of daily use items. During his visit, he showed his satisfaction over the arrangements and praised the administration.

In Attock, Punjab Minister for Minerals Chaudhry Sher Ali said that the government was committed to providing edibles during Ramazan at subsidised rates.

For the purpose, he added, the Punjab government had released Rs5 billion for subsidy. He said this during his visit to Attock Ramazan Bazaar. He said that across the Punjab, more than 300 bazars had been set up where all commodities were available at concessional rates. He said that beside controlled prices, the quality of the edibles was also being ensured. He visited different stalls and checked the prices and quality of different items. The minister while talking to newsmen said that further improvement will be made in this regard.
