Rawalpindi - There is no let-up in robbery incidents in the city and robbers and street criminals are busy looting the citizens.

According to details, a citizen Muhammad Akram, resident of Afshan Colony, lodged a complaint with Police Station (PS) Race Course that unknown robbers stormed into his house by smashing door locks and made off with Rs 47,000 cash, gold jewellery, a motorcycle (RIO-9999), two laptops, one mobile, two LCDs and one tablet. He asked police to register case against robbers and recover his stuff.

Similarly, another citizen namely Misbah Din of Dheri Hassanabad told PS Civil Line officials that a gang of robbers struck his house by breaking the locks. Later, the muggers mugged prize bonds worth Rs 82,500, a mobile phone, a microwave oven, UPS, battery and other appliances. Taking action, police lodged cases against muggers under sections 457/380 of PPC and initiated interrogation. In Satellite Town within the precinct of PS New Town, a gang of armed robbers broke the locks of a shop and looted bundles of cloth by tying the security guard with a piece of rope. The victim shop owner Hassan Raza tabled an application before PS New Town in which he stated unknown robbers pilfered bundle of cloth worth Rs 0.9 million from his shop. Police lodged a case against unknown robbers and started investigation.

A citizen Nasir Khan in his written complaint lodged with PS Ratta Amral accused two men Usman Khan and Faisal Khan of stealing his auto rickshaw. Police booked the auto thieves.

Meanwhile, a 20-year-old girl has been abducted from a bazaar located in area of PS City by unknown kidnappers. Muhammad Manzoor, father of the missing girl, told police that his daughter Sadia Manzoor went bazaar along with her mother for shopping from where she was kidnapped by unknown men. Following the complaint, police lodged a case and started searching the kidnappers.
