ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be landing in Federal Capital on coming Monday to dispense some important official and party matters for which the Prime Minister’s Office was busy finalising the agenda.
Although on his return from London after 48 days stay, where he had undergone successful open heart surgery, some credible party sources informed that the Prime Minister would be staying in his Raiwind residence for another two weeks and that was the reason his residence was given the status of Prime Minister’s Camp Office to facilitate his official duties.
The sources in the Prime Minister’s Office were unclear about how long the Prime Minister would be staying in the Federal Capital.
In case the Prime Minister would be formally resuming the office in Federal Capital then his camp office from his Raiwind residence would be packed up and in case he would be returning back after a couple of days then the camp office would continue to function as long as the Prime Minister would desire.
The sources in the party informed that the doctors had advised the Prime Minister to take light duties for another couple of weeks before fully attending to his official engagement but in the given situation the Prime Minister would be giving more time to his official and party duties than he used to give normally.
These sources said that since his landing back, the Prime Minister has been attending both official and party meetings on daily basis and spending more time with his party leaders and select cabinet colleagues then resting back and relaxing as per his doctors’ advice.
The ruling PML-N was confronted with gigantic challenges on many fronts and right from the upcoming AJK general elections, deadlock on Panama leaks probe, appointment of ECP provincial members and handling of inner party rift, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was himself dealing with all these matters and spending several hours discussing the issue with party confidants.
