RAWALPINDI - Chief Traffic Officer Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Dr Usman Anwar has said that the route of lawyers' long march has been divided into 5 sectors and arrangements in this respect has been finalized. Alternative route plan has been prepared so that normal traffic in Rawalpindi could not be disturbed, he said this while talking to media men here on Thursday. He asked people to contact traffic Police Helpline 915 if faces any difficulty in traffic. Five sectors have been made from District Court Rawalpindi to Faizabad, he said, adding that road from Sawan Camp to District Court Rawalpindi has been declared Sector I, District Court Rawalpindi to Mareed Chowk Sector-II, Marred Chowk to Naz Cinema Sector-III and Naz Cinema to Chandani Chowk Sector-IV while Chandani Chowk to Faizabad Sector-V. Under traffic plan devised by Rawalpindi Traffic Police, he said, the traffic would be diverted to alternate route from the sector where the long march is scheduled to pass.  Thin attendance in offices of twin cities A sharp decline in attendance was witnessed in offices and departments in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, as preparation to accord welcome to long march of legal fraternity for their reinstatement of deposed judges in Rawalpindi is in full swing. The citizens and workers faced transport problem, as the number of vehicles was thin on the roads.  It is expected that the City District Government and Islamabad Capital Administration would announce holiday today (Friday) in their respective jurisdiction. The administration of mostly private offices has already announced that their business activities would close on Friday. Traders in twin cities have also announced that they would participate in long march of lawyers' community.
