A band of 22 wire thieves removed 1,815 metre high tension electric wire worth millions of rupees from 10 high voltages towers near Kolo Tarar grid station the other night.

According to the Gepco source, the accused during loadshedding cut-off 1,815 metre wire from the poles but during darkness 900 meter wire abandoned on the spot which has been seized by the Vanike Tarar Police. It is to be noted that during the past over a month the wire-snippers removed wire from two dozen poles in the jurisdiction of Kolo Tarar Grid Station four times but no accused could be arrested so far.
