HYDERABAD - Two boys drowned while swimming in Fuleli Canal here to avoid the scorching summer heat.

According to Edhi Welfare Foundation sources, the deceased were identified as 22-year-old Sheraz and 16-year-old Faizan. Both were the residents of Ilyasabad area.

The drowning incidents frequently occur in the Indus River and three water canals which flow through Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, the mutilated body of a young man, packed in a brief case was found on the National Highway near Chandanh Mori in the limits of Badani Police Station here.

According to the police, the deceased was later identified as 20-year-old Muhammad Wajdan alias Baji who lived in Farid Plaza in Liaquat Colony area. The police said that Wajdan went missing a day ago and a report about his disappearance was also lodged at Sakhi Pir Police Station.

The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem.
