CDA chief asks Capital Hospital staff to mend ways

Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) has directed the doctors and paramedical staff at Capital Hospital to mend their ways and ensure attendance to facilitate the patients in an effective manner.
Syed Tahir Shahbaz gave these directions during his surprise visit to Capital Hospital here on Wednesday. During his visit, the chairman CDA expressed his annoyance over the absence of doctors in different departments including emergency department and directed the Executive Director Capital Hospital, Dr Muhammad Asif, to ensure the attendance of doctors and paramedic staff in their respective places of duties. The chairman CDA said that he will visit the hospital next week and if the same situation prevails, he will take stern action against the absent doctors and staff.
Syed Tahir Shahbaz directed the executive director to ensure availability necessary medical equipments and medicines in all departments, particularly in emergency department. He also directed for upgradation of facilities in laboratory of the hospital. During his inspection in laboratory, Chairman CDA also briefed about the latest medical tests.
He directed the executive director to work out a plan for establishment of separate counter and an emergency ward for female patients in emergency department and report him so that female patients could be facilitated easily. The chairman CDA directed the administration of Capital Hospital for provision of clean drinking water facility, installation of fans and chairs for the visitors in the sitting room as well as at the reception of laboratory. He also directed for improvement of sanitation system and asked the administration to ensure the timely attendance of staff in the hospital. Tahir visited outdoor patient department (OPD) and all medical departments of the hospital including different wards. –STAFF REPORTER
He met the patients admitted in the hospital and asked them about the medical facilities.
