IKA to hold trials to select team for Games


ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad Karate Association (IKA) meeting was held at Shotokan Karate Schools G11 under the chair of its secretary Qasim Suleman on Wednesday. Talking to The Nation, Qasim said: “We will try our best to prepare a karate team for the upcoming 32nd National Games 2013 starting from June 28 in Islamabad.” “We have also decided to hold trial matches for the selection of the team on June 14. Soon after the selection process, we will start a training camp to prepare our players for the event.” He said the names of the selected players would be posted on National Games website http://www.icpoa.org.pk/. He said all the clubs, registered with the IKA, were informed about conducting of trials which will be held in 50kg, 55kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg and +80kg weight categories. –Staff Reporter
