Lahore -Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif had greeted Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on presenting a poor-friendly budget.

Shahbaz Sharif said the PML-N government made a mark by presenting a progressive budget in a difficult time. He appreciated the budget for not burdening the layman and providing financial cushion through the subsidies. He hoped that the federal budget 2013-14 would become the source of development and prosperity for the people. “Allocation of Rs225 billion in the budget will help eliminating energy crisis.

The decision of eliminating circular debt within 60 days reflects our commitment to overcome the crisis.”

The chief minister said that 45 percent reduction in the expenses of Prime Minister’s Office and abolishment of discretionary funds of ministers ‘is a welcoming step’. He said that launching of Aashiyana Housing and laptop schemes in other provinces would benefit the people.
