The government has earmarked Rs 58.762 million for climate change Division in Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for the year 2013-14 including 37.862 million for on-going schemes and Rs 20.900 million for new projects.

According to the budgetary document issued on Wednesday, Rs 12 million have been allocated for establishment of Geomatic Centre for Climate Change Sustainable Development 2012-15.

Whereas another new project of Development and Implementation of Water and Situation Management Information System in Pakistan will be started during the new fiscal year and the amount reserved for the project is Rs 8.900 million.

The major on-going projects of the division included establishment of Clean Development Mechanism Cell for which an amount of Rs 12 million has been reserved under the new fiscal year.

Under the new budget, Rs. 13.410 million habr been allocated for on-going project of Sustainable Land Management Project Phase-I.      No foreign aid has been allocated for any on-going or new schemes of the division.–APP

Rs 18,490 million as compared to Rs 15,052 million last year.
