KARACHI - All civic authorities has finalised the cleanliness and lighting work in graveyards across the city on the eve of Shab-e-Barat to be observed tonight (Friday).

Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has said that K-Electric has assured not to observe load shedding in metropolis on the religious occasion of Shab-e-Barat.

Chairing a meeting with K-Electric officials on Thursday, he further asked the power distribution company to ensure un-interrupted power supply at Masajid, prayer places and graveyards to facilitate general public on the eve.

The commissioner directed all administrative officials to visit mosques and graveyards along with municipal and police officials to finalize the arrangements for provision of water, lighting and cleanliness.

He further directed to carry out strict action against preparation, sale and use of fireworks and crackers in their areas with the help of police.
